To specify when the back-up files are to be created, and where they are to be stored, use the Timed Operations setting in the Technics module as described here. You can use the 'Run Timed Backup' Export function when you need to create a database text back-up immediately, naming and saving the file according to the specifications entered in the Timed Operations setting. The function will not create a back-up file if you have specified a non-existent folder in the Backup Path in the Timed Operations setting. In client-server systems, you can use this function from a client machine: it is the only way to create a 'Database Text Backup' from a client.
