Operations Menu - Projects - Search for Project

This page describes the 'Search for Project' function on the Operations menu in the Project record window. If you are using iOS or Android, the 'Search for Project' function is on the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon).

You can use the 'Search for Project' function to search for Projects with a particular Customer or Project Leader or whose Description contains a certain word or phrase. You can open Project records from the search results, so this function is an alternative to searching for Projects in the 'Projects: Browse' window. To use the 'Search for Project' function, open the 'Projects: Browse' window and select 'Search for Project' from the Operations menu (Windows/macOS) or Tools menu (iOS/Android). The following window opens:

Description
If you are looking for a Project with a particular Description, enter that Description here. You don't need to enter the entire Description: you can enter a key word or phrase.

Customer
Paste Special    Customers in Contact register
Enter a Customer Number here if you need to search for Projects with a particular Customer.

Leader
Paste Special    Person register, System module and Global User register, Technics module
Enter the Signature of a Person or Global User here if you need to search for Projects with a particular Project Leader. The Project Leader of a Project is the first Project Manager entered on its 'Members' card.
Press [Run] to activate the search. A report will be printed to screen, listing the Projects found. In the report, click (Windows/macOS) or tap (iOS/Android) on a Project Code to open the Project record.
