Introduction to the Stock Module in the Enterprise by HansaWorld ERP system

The Stock module allows you to record deliveries to and from stock. It interacts with the Sales and Purchase Orders modules, with the Sales Ledger, the Job Costing and Production modules and the Nominal Ledger. The Delivery register is always updated from the Sales Orders module, and Goods Receipts can be created from the Purchase Orders module, if it is installed.

The Stock module records every shipment in and out of stock. In addition and if required, HansaWorld Enterprise can automatically maintain stock valuations in the Nominal Ledger. Stock can be kept in different and independent Locations. Several reports give information about the contents and value of your stock.

The Stock module was rewritten in HansaWorld Enterprise version 5.1. As far as daily use of the Stock module is concerned, this rewriting will cause little or no difference. Most of these changes are behind the scenes, in the way information is stored. If you were using HansaWorld Enterprise prior to this version, you need to rebuild your stock information before you can start using the Stock module.
