Printing Quotations

There are two ways to print a Quotation.
  1. While entering or inspecting a Quotation, click the Printer icon in the Button Bar or select 'Print' from the File menu. If you want to print to screen, click the Preview icon.

  2. After ensuring you are in the Contact module, click the [Documents] button in the Master Control panel. Double-click 'Quotations' in the 'Documents' list window. Enter the Quotation Number (or a range of numbers) to be printed and press [Run].
Whichever method you use to print a Quotation, the Form used will be determined as follows:
  1. Using the Form register in the System module, design the quotation Form. Use the 'Properties' function on the Operations menu to name the Form (in this description, we have used the name "QUOTATION") and to assign it a Document Type of "Quotation". Full instructions for using the Form register can be found here.

A file containing samples of each Form including a sample "QUOTATION" is supplied with Standard CRM and will have been imported to your database if you chose the option to start with standard settings when you created it (as described here).

  2. Select the Contact module using the [Module] button in the Master Control panel or the Ctrl-0 (zero) (Windows) or ⌘-0 (Mac OS X) keyboard shortcuts.

  3. Click the [Documents] button in the Master Control panel or select 'Documents' from the File menu. The 'Documents' list window is opened: highlight 'Quotations'.

  4. Select 'Define Document' from the Operations menu.

  5. In the subsequent window, enter "QUOTATION" in the Form field of the first row (you can use 'Paste Special' to ensure the spelling is correct).

  6. Click [Save] to save the Quotation Form definition. From now on, the quotation form that you have designed will be used, from the 'Documents' function and from the Printer icon.
