Delete Email Queue

Mails and Customer Letters that are to be sent by email will be placed in an Email Queue, where they will be represented by separate records for each recipient. From the Queue they will be sent to their recipients by the Gateway. After the emails have been sent, the Queue records will not be removed. Instead the Queue records will be marked as Sent (this can be seen in the Email Queue register in the Email and Conferences module, and printed using the Email Queue List report).

If you want to empty the Email Queue register, use the 'Delete Email Queue' Maintenance function in the Email and Conferences module. You should run this function from a normal client or on the main server, not on the Gateway machine (if you are using an External Gateway.

Enter the period for which you want Email Queue records deleted and click (Windows/Mac OS X) or tap (iOS/Android) the [Run] button. Queue records that have not been sent will not be deleted.

Emptying the "Tmp" Folder

The External Gateway uses a folder named "Tmp" to store mail attachments downloaded from the POP3 server before they are transferred to the "Attach" folder and attachments that are to be uploaded to the SMTP server.

After an attachment has been transferred to the "Attach" folder or uploaded to the SMTP server, it will be removed from the "Tmp" folder automatically.
