Terminology in the CRM Module

Throughout these web pages, the word "Customer" is used to refer to a record in the Customer register. That record does not necessarily represent a firm that has purchased goods or services from your business, and in fact can represent any company that is a potential customer or supplier.

As soon as contact is established between your business and a potential client, you should record their details in the Customer register. You should register their relationship with you (e.g. "Prospect" or "Lead") using the Customer Classification field on the 'Contact' card of the Customer record.
