The MyStandard Page - Start and Stop commands

This page describes the 'Start' and 'Stop' commands in MyStandard.

---

The 'Start' and 'Stop' commands on the MyStandard page allow you to start and stop your server. Only one of these commands will be visible at any one time. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to MyStandard. If you are already logged in, you may need to select 'Companies' in the main menu at the top of the window.

  2. If you have more than server, select the one you want to work with in the list on the left-hand side of the window.

  3. Press 'Start' (if the server is not running) or 'Stop' (if it is running). These commands will only be visible if you have Admin Access or Start/Stop Server access to the server on MyStandard.

If you are starting the server, it will start immediately.

If you are stopping the server and there are no users logged in, it will stop immediately. If there are users logged in, the 'Stop' window will appear. Here you can choose to stop the server immediately or to send a message to the users to inform them that the server will soon be shutting down:

If the server is stopped, there are two ways to start it:
  1. Start it from MyStandard as described above.

  2. When a user starts a Standard ERP client application, the server will be started automatically (the server will start "on demand").
Starting and stopping the server from MyStandard will be recorded in the Server Activity Log. "On demand" server starts will not be recorded in the Server Activity Log.
