Visitor Statistics
An option available in the Webshop and CMS module is to keep a log of the visits to each web page. You can choose whether to keep this log for each page. The log will be stored in the Statistics register. Follow these steps:
- To specify that you need a log to be kept for a particular node, select the Log access to this node option in the relevant Structure record:
- The Element record also contains a Log access to this element option:
- When a browser user visits a node in which you have selected the Log access to this node option or a node containing an Element in which you have selected the Log access to this element option, a record will be created in the Statistics register in which the count is 1. If the browser user returns to the node on the same day, the count in that record will be incremented. If the browser user returns to the node on a later date, a new record will be created.
Note that if you are logging two Elements on a single node or you are logging both an Element and the node on which it appears, the count will be incremented twice.
- If you need to report on the statistics for a particular period, produce a Web Statistics report:
- Period
- Paste Special
Reporting Periods setting, System module
- Specify the period to be covered by the report.
- Country
- Paste Special
Countries on Web setting, Webshop and CMS module
- If you would like the report to list page views by browser users who had selected a particular country, specify that country here. Please refer to the Country Selection page for details about selecting a country.
