The Newspaper List report is a list of the newspapers required by each Room on a specified Date. This information is taken from the Newspapers field on the 'Check In/Out' card in each Reservation. To be able to use the Newspaper List report, you should list the newspapers that you have available in the Newspapers setting.

To open the Newspapers setting, first ensure you are in the Hotel module. Then, if you are using Windows or macOS, click the [Settings] button in the Navigation Centre or use the Ctrl-S/⌘-S keyboard shortcuts and then double-click 'Newspapers' in the 'Settings' list. If you are using iOS or Android, select 'Settings' from the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon) and tap 'Newspapers' in the 'Settings' list. The window illustrated below will open.

Enter each new Newspaper on the first blank line and, when finished, click the [Save] button (Windows/macOS) or tap √ (iOS/Android) to save the changes. To close the window without saving changes, click the close box (Windows/macOS) or tap < (iOS/Android).

It is recommended that you enter Newspapers in alphabetical order by Name, as shown in the illustration. You can insert a new Newspaper in the correct place in the list by clicking on a row number and pressing the Return key (Windows/macOS) or long tapping on a row number and selecting 'Insert Row' (iOS/Android). When you enter a Reservation and use 'Paste Special' to choose a Newspaper, the Newspapers will be listed in the same order as they are listed in this setting. If they are in alphabetical order, you will be able to find the correct one quickly and easily.
