Editing a Register Definition

Before you have used a register (i.e. before you have saved any records in the register), you are free to make changes to the Definition. However, as soon as you have saved a record, the number of changes you can make is limited. You should not insert new fields, remove existing fields or change the Type of any field. Doing so will damage your SmartApps database and may cause data to be lost. If a field is not correct, remove it from all Window Definitions so that it will no longer be used, but do not remove it from the Register Definition. You can change the Field Name to something that indicates that it is not to be used. If you need new fields, add them to the end of the list.
