The commands in this menu are usually used when you are working with the contents of individual fields. If you wish to copy or delete entire records, you should instead use the commands in the Record menu, or the [New] or [Duplicate] buttons in the Button Bar. If the active window contains nothing editable, the commands will be dimmed. For each command in the Edit menu there is a keyboard shortcut, e.g. Ctrl-Z (Windows and Linux) or ⌘-Z (Macintosh) for 'Undo'. These shortcuts are shown in the illustrations above: the Macintosh version is shown first, followed by the Windows version.
