Creating Project Transactions - from Stock Depreciation records

This page describes creating Project Transactions from Stock Depreciation records. Please refer to the following pages for details about creating Project Transactions from other registers:
---

In some cases, you may need to supply Stocked Items to a Customer as part of a Project without going through the process of creating a Sales Order and Delivery. This may be the case if the only Stocked Item being supplied is a consumable item such as cabling. If so, you can use a Stock Depreciation to supply the Stocked Item. Enter a Stock Depreciation record and specify the Project in the header:

When you mark the record as OK and save in the usual way, separate Project Transactions will be created for each row. These can then be viewed from the Project Transaction register:

The Registered and Invoice Quantities, Price and Cost will all be taken from the Stock Depreciation row (the Price will be taken from the Base Price field on flip D of the Stock Depreciation row, while the Cost will be taken from the FIFO field on flip C). Note that the Base Price field on flip D of the Stock Depreciation row will contain the Base Price from the Item register. If you have specified a different price in the Project Budget or in the Customer's Price List, you may need to check and edit the Project Transactions before invoicing.
