Installation - Multi-user

For a multi-user installation you need to proceed as follows:
  1. Create a network including all the computers and other equipment you are going to use. Use the Windows, Macintosh or Linux System installation tools to install TCP/IP on each machine. Ensure all Windows machines have Winsock 2 (WS2_32.DLL) installed and that all Macintoshes have Open Transport installed.

  2. Select one computer as the server computer.

  3. If your server is a Linux or Macintosh OS X machine, the FirstOffice server application will not have a graphical interface. Proceed as described here. Otherwise, install FirstOffice on the server computer, as described on the single-user page.

  4. Install FirstOffice on each of the client machines, again as described on the single-user page.
