The Report Window - Searching in Reports

A useful function built in to every report when you print to screen is the ability to search for a text string in a report. The search string can contain any sequence of letters and digits occurring in the report.

The illustration shows searching in a Transaction Journal report for the Nominal Ledger Transaction resulting from Invoice 2011003. Enter "2011003" into the Search field on the right of the Button Bar and press the Return or Enter key. The first text string in the report that matches the search string will be highlighted. Press the Enter key again to find the next match.
