Candidacy Sources

When you need to fill a Job Position, you can use the matrix on the 'Candidates' card in the relevant record in the Job Position register to list the candidates and applicants. For each candidate, you can use the Source field to make a note of how they heard about the Job Position. You can use the Candidacy Sources setting to construct a look-up table for this Source field.

To open the Candidacy Sources setting, first ensure you are in the Human Resources Management module. Then, if you are using Windows or Mac OS X, click the [Settings] button in the Navigation Centre or use the Ctrl-S/⌘-S keyboard shortcut and then double-click 'Candidacy Sources' in the 'Settings' list. If you are using iOS or Android, select 'Settings' from the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon) and tap 'Candidacy Sources' in the 'Settings' list. The 'Candidacy Sources: Browse' window will open, listing the Candidacy Sources that you have previously entered.

To enter a new Candidacy Source, select 'New' from the Create menu (Windows/Mac OS X) or the + menu (iOS/Android) in the Button Bar. The 'Candidacy Source: New' window appears: enter a Code and Name as appropriate and click [Save] (Windows/Mac OS X) or tap √ (iOS/Android) to save the new record.
