Creating Activities from the CalendarTo create an Activity from the Calendar, click the [New Activity] button (Windows/Mac OS X) or tap the [+] button (iOS/Android) in any Calendar view to enter a new Activity record. The Task Type in the new Activity will be Calendar, and the Symbol will be Other. The Person(s) in the Persons field of the Calendar view will be copied to the Persons field of the Activity. Please refer to the description of the Activity Register for full details.Producing the Personal Calendar report from the CalendarTo produce the Personal Calendar report from the Calendar, click the [Report] button (Windows/Mac OS X) or select 'Report' from the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon) (iOS/Android) in any Calendar view.Week Numbers in the CalendarIf dashes appear instead of Week Numbers in any of your Calendar views, the probable cause is that there is no record in the Weeks setting in the System module, or the record that is there is incomplete. In the latter case, if you have already added the current year to the Weeks record and the dashes in the Calendar remain, it is recommended that you delete the existing record and enter a new one, ensuring that the Country Code entered in the Weeks record is the same as that on the 'Reg' card of the Company Info setting. The Gregorian and Hijri CalendarsThe Hijri lunar calendar is commonly used in many Muslim countries, especially Saudi Arabia. If you need the Hijri calendar to be used throughout the system, select "Hijri - Arabic" as the Date Order in the Company Date and Numeric Format setting in the System module: Selecting the "Hijri - Arabic" option will have the following consequences:
You can also specify that a different calendar format is to be used on a particular client machine, irrespective of the user. To do this, select a Date Order in the Client Date and Numeric Format setting in the User Settings module while you are working on the client machine in question. Don't forget to select the Use Client settings option as well. If you need to be able to use both the Gregorian and the Hijri calendar systems in the Calendar, follow the steps listed below. The illustrations assume that the default format is Gregorian (i.e. that "Hijri - Arabic" has not been selected in the Company Date and Numeric Format setting).
