Update Fax Numbers

This page describes the 'Update Fax Numbers' Maintenance function in the Technics module.

The 'Update Fax Numbers' function was moved from the System module to the Technics module in version 4.1. To be able to use it, you must log in as a Person or Global User whose Access Group explicitly grants full access to the Technics module, as described and illustrated here.

The 'Update Fax Numbers' function will remove spaces and dashes from all fax numbers. This will be necessary if you will be sending faxes through the fax server, in which case fax numbers should not contain non-numeric characters. The fax numbers affected are those in the Contact register.

Remove from Fax No.
Enter here a character or string of characters that you want to be removed from the start of all Fax Numbers. Blanks and dashes will be removed irrespective of whether you have made an entry to this field.
