After defining your Time Classes, please refer to the Time Billing Price Lists page for details about connecting Time Classes to Time Billing Price Formulae.--- If your business has various charge-out rates for the same work (e.g. standard rates, evening rates, weekend rates, holiday rates, and so on), the first step in configuring such a structure is to enter Time Classes. Time Classes are the different levels in the structure, so you should enter as many Time Classes as you have charge-out rates. For example, you might enter different Time Classes for evening, weekend and holiday rates. There is usually no need for a Time Class that represents standard time. To define a new Time Class, first move into the Job Costing module using the [Switch Module] button in the Navigation Centre. Then click (Windows/macOS) or tap (iOS/Android) the [Settings] button, also in the Navigation Centre and double-click or tap 'Time Classes' in the resulting list. When the 'Time Classes: Browse' window appears, select 'New' from the Create menu (Windows/macOS) or from the + menu (iOS/Android) to create a new record. Once entered, click [Save] (Windows/macOS) or tap √ (iOS/Android) to save the record. The remaining fields and check boxes are used for information only: they do not control when the Time Class might be used. The Start and End Times are not used in the Job Costing module, but instead are used by the Activities Period report in the CRM module. After entering your Time Classes, define the Time Billing Price Formulae that will be used to calculate the charge-out rates for each Time Class, and then use Time Billing Price Lists to connect the Time Classes to the Formulae. --- Settings in the Job Costing module:
