Create Products from Items
For an Item to be made available to the webshop you need to create a related record in the Product register in the Webshop and CMS module. Each Item can have a single connected Product. You can records to the Product register individually, or you can create them from Items in batches using this Maintenance function. Using this function, the Code and Comment in each new Product will be copied from the originating Item, and the Category will be taken from the specification window. If there is an image (.jpg file) attached to the originating Item, it will be copied to the Product as well (only the first .jpg file will be copied if there is more than one).

- Specify here the Items from which Products are to be to be created. Products will not be created for any Closed Items in the range.

- If you need Products to be created from Items belonging to a particular Item Group, specify that Item Group here. You can also enter a range of Item Groups separated by a colon (:).

- If you need Products to be created from Items with a particular Item Classification, specify that Item Classification here. If you enter a number of Classifications separated by commas, Products will only be created from those Items featuring all the Classifications that you have listed. If you enter a number of Classifications separated by plus signs (+), Products will be created from Items featuring at least one of the Classifications listed. If you enter a Classification preceded by an exclamation mark (!), Products will be created from Items featuring any Classification except the one listed.

- Products will be created from Items with Classifications 1 and 2 (including Items with Classifications 1, 2 and 3).
- 1+2
- Products will be created from Items with Classifications 1 or 2.
- !2
- Products will be created from all Items except those with Classification 2.
- 1,!2
- Products will be created from Items with Classification 1 but not from those with Classification 2 (i.e. not from Items with Classifications 1 and 2). Note the comma before the exclamation mark in this example.
- !1,!2
- Products will be created from all Items except those with Classification 1 or 2 or both. Again, note the comma.
- !(1,2)
- Products will be created from all Items except those with Classifications 1 and 2 (Products will not be created from Items with Classifications 1, 2 and 3).

- Products will be created from Items without Classification 1 and from those with Classification 2 (Products will be created from Items with Classifications 1 and 2).

- Products will be created from Items with Classifications 1 and 2, and from those with Classifications 3 and 4.

- Specify here the Product Category to which each new Product will be assigned. You can enter several Categories separated by commas in which case they will all be copied to the new Products.
- Overwrite existing products
- If an Item already has a connected Product, you can choose whether to leave that Product as it is or to delete it and create a new one. Select this option if you need any existing Products to be replaced with new ones.
