The Reservation assigns the Rental Item to the Customer for the specified period so it will not be available to be rented to other Customers. After the Customer has taken possession of the Rental Item, the Reservation will control the creation of rental charges. The Reservation does not record the Customer taking possession of the Rental Item or returning it or update rental stock: these tasks are carried out by Items Out and Items In records.A Rental Reservation must be connected to an Agreement, as the rental charges will be added to the Agreement and the Invoice for the rental will be created from the Agreement.
