Operations Menu - Create Budget

To create a Project Budget record from a Project, select 'Create Budget' from the Operations menu. The Project must be saved before the Budget can be created. Only one Budget record can be entered for a particular Project: if a Budget record already exists, the function will have no effect.

The Budget is opened in a new window entitled 'Project Budget: New'. This means that it has not yet been saved. After amendment if necessary, save the record in the Project Budget register by clicking the [Save] button in the Button Bar. Alternatively, if you no longer require the Budget, click [Cancel].

The Project Number, Customer Number and Name, Objects, Project Leader and Salesman are copied from the Project, and the Transaction Date of the Budget is set to the current date.

To close the screen and return to the Project, click the close box. You will be asked if you would like to save any changes that you may have made.
