Quotations Classes

The Quotation Class is a means of analysing Quotations for reporting or prioritising. When entering a Quotation, you can assign it to a Quotation Class. This will be visible in the 'Quotations: Browse' window. You can use the Quotation Class as a search criterion in the Quotation Journal and Quotation Stock reports.

The 'Quotation Classes: Inspect' window lists the available Quotation Classes: to enter a new item, click in the first blank row.

In the Quotation Class entry window, enter the following data.
Code
Enter the Code for the Quotation Class in this field. The code can contain up to five characters, and you may freely mix letters and numbers.

Description
To make it easier to remember what the different codes stand for, you can enter a short descriptive text in this field.
To add new Quotation Classes to the list, click in the Code field in the first blank row and enter appropriate text. To remove a Quotation Class, click on the row number on the left of the row containing the record and press the Backspace key. To insert a row, click on the row number where the insertion is to be made and press Return.

When entering a Quotation, you can choose a Quotation Class using 'Paste Special'. To help you choose the correct Class, it is recommended that you keep the Classes in alphabetical order, as shown in the illustration.

Click the [Save] button in the Button Bar to save the changes. To close the window without saving changes, click the close box.
