The MyStandard Page - Parameters command

This page describes the 'Parameters' command in MyStandard.

---

If you need to instruct the server application to carry out a specific task or tasks or you want to change its behaviour in a particular way, you can start it with one or more parameters. For example, if you need more detail in the hansa.log file, launch the server with the --verbosity=verbose parameter (or --verbosity=debug or --verbosity=debug-detailed, depending on how much added detail you need). To set up a parameter, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to MyStandard. If you are already logged in, you may need to select 'Companies' in the main menu at the top of the window.

  2. If you have more than server, select the one you want to work with in the list on the left-hand side of the window.

  3. Press 'Parameters'. This command will only be visible if you have Admin Access to the server on MyStandard.

  4. The following window will open, listing any parameters that you have already set up:

  5. Press 'Add Parameters' to add a new parameter. A new empty line will be added to the window:

  6. Enter the new parameter and then press 'Submit' to make it available to the server. The parameter will be put into action the next time the server is started. In the example illustrated below, we are instructing the server to import a file named "import_file.TXT" the next time it starts up:

As we only need the file to be imported once, we will need to disable or remove the parameter after restarting the server. Confirm any change such as changing, disabling or removing a parameter by pressing 'Submit'.
