Launching the Server with ParametersThere will be occasions when you need to launch the server application with parameters. You will need to use a parameter when you want to instruct the server application to carry out a specific task. For example, if you need more detail in the hansa.log file, launch the server with the --verbosity=verbose parameter (or --verbosity=debug or --verbosity=debug-detailed, depending on how much added detail you need). To do this, use the 'Parameters' command in MyStandard. Then, launch the server application as described towards the beginning of this page. If you do not want the task launched by a particular parameter to be repeated the next time you launch the application, remember to disable or remove that parameter using the 'Parameters' command in MyStandard once the task has been completed.Single-user and ClientStart Standard ERP in the usual way, by double-clicking (Windows/macOS) or tapping (iOS/Android) the program icon.If you have a single Company in your database, it will be loaded by default and you will be asked to log in. Your log-in ID (your StandardID) will be shown in the 'Login' window automatically. If you have more than one Company, the last Company you used will be loaded by default and you will be asked to log in. The 'Login' window will show you which Company this is ("Holding Company" in this example): Double-click or tap the Company that you need in the list, or highlight it and press the Enter key on your keyboard. The 'Login' window will appear again, still containing your StandardID but this time allowing you to log in to the selected Company. After logging in, the Navigation Centre illustrated and described on the Work Area page will appear. You can now begin work. If you have any tasks scheduled for the day (or any that are outstanding from previous days), the Task Manager will open automatically. This will list those tasks and is fully described on the Task Manager page. If you want the 'Select Company' window to appear when you start Standard ERP (i.e. you do not want the last Company you used to be loaded by default), select "No" as the Connect to Last Known Company option in the Login Options setting in the User Settings module. As the Login Options setting is in the User Settings module, you can choose different options on different client machines. In a single-user system only, you can also specify a Default Company in the Program Mode register in the Technics module. This Company will be loaded when you start the application and you will be taken immediately to the 'Login' window. --- See also:
