Available Tools and Functions (POS Button Types) - Personnel Functions

This page describes the POS Buttons that you can use to handle personnel matters in POS Invoices. Please refer here for details about making these buttons appear in POS Invoices.

Change User

Function
Allows a new cashier to log in.

Workflow
  1. Click or touch the "Change User" button.

  2. You will be logged out and the 'Login' window will be opened, ready for the next cashier.

  3. After the next cashier logs in, the POS Invoice that was previously on screen will re-appear, allowing the new cashier to continue with the transaction. The new cashier's Signature (log-in ID) will appear in the top left-hand corner of the POS Invoice.
Sales Assistant
Function
Adds a line to a POS Invoice acknowledging the help of a Sales Assistant. This can be useful when you want to acknowledge a Sales Assistant for helping a Customer to choose an Item.

Workflow
  1. After adding or scanning the Item for which the Sales Assistant is to be credited, click or touch the "Sales Assistant" button.

  2. The 'Sales Assistant' window will appear:

  3. Enter the name of the Sales Assistant (using 'Paste Special' if necessary) or scan their ID card. It is not necessary for the Sales Assistant to have their own record in the Persons setting.

  4. Use the Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to add the Sales Assistant's name to the POS Invoice, or click [the close box or use the ESC key to leave the POS Invoice unchanged.
Select Salesman
Function
Changes the Salesman in a POS Invoice.

Workflow
  1. Click or touch the "Select Salesman" button.

  2. The 'Enter Salesman' window will appear:

  3. Enter the Signature of the Salesman, using 'Paste Special' if necessary, or scan their ID card. The Salesman must have their own record in the Persons setting.

  4. Click or touch [Proceed] to add the Salesman to the POS Invoice, or click [Cancel] to leave the POS Invoice unchanged.
Notes
The default Salesman in a POS Invoice will be the current user.

The "Salesman" button changes the Salesman field in a POS Invoice, while the "Sales Assistant" button adds a row to a Invoice that credits the Sales Assistant.
